RANGERS FC INTERVIEW TASK – IBROX 125 YEARS
Branding
As part of an interview process for Rangers Football Club, I had the privilege of contributing to the celebration of the historic stadium of Ibrox’s 125th anniversary.
My task involved developing comprehensive design solution, involving social media key visuals, stories, image carousels, e-mail graphics and a cover for the match day programme alongside this that fans would pick up on the day of the special occasion. The designs were inspired by the club's iconic imagery. Many great figureheads who played a role in the clubs success feature on the designs alongside the ground, symbolising the rich history of the club. This project provided a unique opportunity to delve into the memorable moments that Rangers have within its iconic stadium.
I began by conducting thorough research into the club's heritage, analysing its visual language and key brand elements. I then developed a series of design concepts that reflected the club's tradition while incorporating modern design aesthetics. The bold colours that the club sports play a major role in bringing the visuals to life and are what fans relate to dawning to the games and supporting their team every week.
The experience of visiting the ground, meeting the creative team behind the Rangers FC brand and being given the opportunity to present my work was invaluable to me. The world of Football has always been a large interest of mine, which is why I wanted to put all of my energy into a project like this. Whilst it was a challenging task, I found it deeply rewarding to work on something I have a passion for and to see the final designs is always a proud moment for me.
